Yes, I know, it's February already, but I just couldn't get anything done lately as you can see at the calendar page. I hate unfinished things, but I thought I'd leave the old calendars up until I've come to a decision whether to make calendars for this year or not. I also want to make a new layout (at least for the main pages) so badly, I just haven't had time for it yet.

At least there's ONE new thing on the site, LOL. In the fan fiction section, to be precise. I've just finished the layout for Tess' new story and uploaded everything. You can either take the longer walk -> Fan Gallery -> Dr. Quinn Fan Fiction -> Tess' Fan Fictions and hit the last link on her page, or go straight through this door. ;)

It's a Dr. Quinn / Magnificent Seven crossover, but I think DQ fans will love it because it has a lot of Michaela and Sully in it. :)

I noticed that some of you still take the poll. Well, fine by me. It'll probably make my decision easier. ;)

Hi everyone,

I feel so bad for neglecting the website for so long, but finally there's a tiny little update. No, unfortunately I haven't found the time to finish a new layout for the site, but it doesn't mean I have forgotten about it.

Truth is, since I got my internet at home back (yay for DSL instead 56k modem) I've been stuck on Facebook. So, please forgive me, LOL.

Anyway, I just now finished a new wallpaper, a Christmas wall, just in time and uploaded it. I'm still working on another project which should be up before Christmas if I can make it. You'll find this one in the fan fiction section.

I apologize for not having continued the calendars, but those of you who are in my friends list on FB have at least gotten an idea.

You may have noticed a couple broken links. Since Geocities discontinued their (free?) service I haven't had time to repair the missing pages, for example the links page which needs to be revamped anyway. I also need to update the links to my Photoshop brush sites as soon as I can get to it. Some links are broken, some new ones need to be added, so bear with me.

I'll try to be better in the next year, thanks everyone for your patience.

Finally! -- a small update!

Hi everyone,

yes, I'm still alive! Problem is, I had close to no internet access in the last weeks and when I did I had no chance of uploading any new content and updating the website. Adding to this, the server who hosts my domain seems to be down. So, if you're able to read this, you might try alternatively http://janeseymour.bplaced.net, this is the server where my website is actually located and which is pretty stable (unless I forget to log in from time to time and need the reactivate it then).

Alright. I had finally the chance to upload all my calendars for May and June, so there's at least something for you to catch up on. :) I hope you like them.

I'm looking everywhere for a suitable (and affordable) dsl package so that I will hopefully have internet at home sometime soon.

And yes, I've wanted to update the layout for the main pages for such a long time already, but I'm still not done with it. So please bear with me and this winterly look (well, the temperatures almost fit the layout, LOL).

Alright, this is a cheesy line, but I didn't want to write again "Another small update" or "The new calendar" although this is what this post is about, LOL. It's just that I'm so tired of winter and having nice temperatures yesterday and looking at the flowers that are blooming already makes me long even more for my favorite season.

But yes, it is about the new calendars. They're a day late, so I hope you'll forgive me. ;)
About the marked 10th, it is the Jewish holiday Purim, and (almost) everyone should know that March 17 is St. Patrick's Day; that's why the clover design for this month's wallpaper calendar.

Hi everyone,

I'm so sorry the calendars are so late this time, but the computer I've been on the last days wouldn't let me update it properly.It didn't recognize any of my portable programs, not my Firefox, not the FTP program, nothing. So all I could do was wait until I was back on this computer here, LOL.

You may have (or not) noticed that I moved even the main pages to another host now, so in case you try to access my website via the Geocities url, please remember to use either jane.seymour.de.vu or janeseymour.bplaced.net , both will lead to the same website.

I also need to update (or revamp) my links page and also the resources links (such as brushes etc.) as soon as possible, but here are some of the resources.

Hahaha, so soon? you may ask, but I had two wallpapers lying here around that I had made with the help of Scrapblog.com again and that I wanted to keep a secret just for a few days longer. But now that the holidays are approaching with giant steps I thought it's about time, LOL.

I also made a wallpaper out of the graphic that I used for my website winter layout. As you can see, Banner Woman's lovely sparklies are in it again, and I also used a lot of brushes (some of the creators' links I still need to add to my links within the next days), the one brush (Jane's "open heart") I made myself, but only for personal use. I won't dare uploading them to anywhere until I have the full okay from Jane or one of her assistants.

I caught a minor flu and therefore wasn't on the computer much, so the winter layout has to wait a little longer.

I'm already thinking about the look of 2009's calendar pages, but I haven't come to a result yet, LOL. I'm quite sure about next year's theme, but you never know if I change my mind at last minute. You (and me) will just have to wait and see. ;)

A little late this time...

...is my calendar. I've had a couple computer issues lately which fortunately turned out to be caused by a corrupted power unit. Thankfully it could be replaced and now my computer is working just fine.

What still hasn't been solved is my internet problem and this is the reason why I'm late with my calendar this time. But hey, it's finally up and I hope you like it. The color choice was done on purpose because November is a depressing month for me and I had to use some happy color. :)

Hi everyone,

it seems lately that my computer at home doesn't like me. It's so much fun having it freeze and crash so many times a day --- NOT!

But as long as I'm still able to do wallpapers etc. with it there's at least something I can do. It just takes a little longer. ;)

This time it's a wallpaper again. And again I played with a digital scrap kit. This time by the very talented Irene Alexeeva. You just have to visit her blog at irenealexeeva.blogspot.com. If you're into (digital) scrapbooking like me you're going to love her freebies, and if you're not into scrapbooking you can at least admire her most beautiful designs.

This is the wallpaper I made using her "Azure Pleasure" kit, only on my website you will find it in four different (larger than here) sizes.

New Calendar -- finally!

Phew... I've had huge problems yesterday to log into my German Geocities account. I believe they did some maintenance on the servers or whatever, anyway they wouldn't let me in and upload the calendar. So, here it is today.

In case you're wondering about the color choice which would look more like Christmas, I did it for a reason.
Last year in October, Jane's mom Mieke died. Also in October, after returning from England and the funeral, Jane and Tony danced the Tango, one of the best I've ever seen on DWTS and its clones, and also in October, the 15th to be precise, is Jane's mother's birthday, so it's actually a couple reasons for this month's color and picture choice.

And with so many holidays (especially Jewish) this month I have found one more reason to make it more festive looking. ;)

...a little bit different than I planned actually.
I wanted to build an entire page for Jane's upcoming Hallmark movie "Dear Prudence", but I refrained from doing it as I don't want to interfere with Hallmark's own website for "Pru", and so I decided to do "just" another wallpaper and a video clip, sort of a "Fan Promo" which you can watch here. ;)

I hope you enjoy it. I plan to bring my video pages back, but there's always something coming up and with my persisting internet problem at home I cannot say how much longer it wil take.

Hi everyone,

since I'm still without internet at home my updates come still sporadically, BUT --- I'm still having a lot fun making wallpapers, and so I finished a new one yesterday. Thanks to the beautiful scrapping materials made by so many talented people. This time I used materials (papers, alpha, elements) made by Melissa from Sentimental Style and made a summery wallpaper in 4 different sizes.

I hope you like it as much as I liked making it.

Hi everyone,

I'm experimenting with digital scrapbooking and will use it for my wallpapers etc. Alright, I didn't make the materials myself. I will add a resources page as soon as I have time because it's so much more than brushes that I can rely on so it's about time for such a resources page.

Anyway, I made a new wallpaper in the scrapbook style in four sizes. And here's where the news kicks in. I moved my fan gallery (including all my wallpapers) to a new hoster which comes totally ad-free, and where I'll finally be able to bring my video pages back. Stay tuned, folks! A small explanation about this months calendar. The holiday this month is the Jewish Pessach from April 20th till 27th with Seder included which takes place on the 19th.

I needed to find a way to cope with the fact that Jane got kicked off, so I dug out my digital crayons and started playing.
The results are two wallpapers, again in four different sizes.
When you go to the Wallpapers main page you will notice a new section. I thought Jane's participation in Dancing with the Stars deserves its own section, and so I created one. ;)

Today, I uploaded a new video clip that I made last night, and when I wanted to update my video pages I wasn't even able to log into my account.

Oh man, that stinks. Not only am I unable to login, but it seems the pages are gone as well ... or at least unavailable right now.

Looks like I have to redo them and upload to another host.

here's a tiny update for you all: A new wallpaper -- but in three different sizes. Since more and more users are getting larger screens for their computers I thought it's about time to provide different sizes.

Well, I will never be able (or willing) to provide wallpapers for all available screen resolutions, but I can try to make a compromise, at least once in a while. ;)

The sizes for the latest wallpaper are: 1024x768, 1280x960 and 1600x1200 pixel. No wide-screen this time. I hope you like it anyway. ;)

I just added two new wallpapers to the Movies & TV section of my wallpaper pages. Those of you who are a member of the DQ Times forum may have seen one of them already because I posted it there yesterday already. Things like a crappy internet connection just kept me away from updating the website at the same time.

New Video

Hi everyone,

another tiny update this month. I played around with a video program I bought off Ebay (not the latest software, but fun to play with) and this video is the result of my first test.

It is merely a slide show with screen caps I did of "The Four Feathers" because I had them on my computer and was too lazy to convert the movie and make clips of it.

I thought the Celine Dion song I used, fits pretty well. ;)

Two new Videos

Hi everyone,

although I still haven't had time to finally open the new forum, I was in the mood for creating videos. And so I finished two clips from one of my all-time favorite Jane movies: Matters of the Heart.

Why two clips? Well, I wanted to try a short and a longer version and liked them both. So I decided to upload both of them. You can find them in the movie and TV section of my video pages. :)

I know it's still a few hours to go in the United States, but in Germany, the new year ist just an hour old. So I'd like to wish all my visitors a happy and healthy 2007. :)

You can now find both versions of my January calendar on the website, plus the covers which you could see here on the blog already.

The printable sizes will be available as soon as I have time to open the new message board. I so badly wanted to open it by now, but haven't had time to do so. I have the feeling I need another header, LOL.

It took me a while to finsh the update, but it took me even longer to announce it here on this page.

If you have come to this blog from another website besides my own, please check out my Homepage for the holiday layout I gave it and for the advent calendar I made. Since it's December 9th in Germany, you may open 9 "doors" at once today, LOL. One problem though: If you're a Mac user the surprised won't work for you.

Another thing. You may want to setup your popup blocker to accept popups from the site the calendar is on which is not Geocities. ;)

not only did I add a new wallpaper (in Just Jane part 2"), but I also re-organized some of the wallpaper pages. "Just Jane" has been splitted in 2 parts plus a "Jane & Family" section.

Also, DQMW contains parts 1 and 2 as well.

And I added to more brush links to the wallpapers main page.

Well, several days ago I already added a few more wallpapers, just didn't post it here.
But, last night I finally finished a new video clip. Not the one I originally intented to create because that one's giving me the fits right now. So, I decided to do another, short, one meanwhile. No "real" scenes, "just" screen caps from the episode (Fathers and Sons).

You can find it on the DQ page in my video section (I'd post the direct link here, but I have to watch my bandwidth limit). I hope you like it. :)

P.S. How do you like the clock I added? Cute isn't it? Now, if only it would display the time properly. I set it up to CET (Central European Time), but right now I don't know what time zone it's showing, LOL. However, I liked it and I intend to keep it, even if it's only for decorative purposes. ;)

(I believe a few of them even offer PSP brushes or image packs so you can create the brushes yourself). I keep constantly checking if the links wors, but sometimes a site literally disappears over night or moves and there might be one of two sites where I'm still looking for their current url's.

yes, the calendar for April is finally up! It took me a little longer to decide on what picture to use. ;)

The thing I have in the works are the pages for Tess' new story which will be hopefully up within the next days. The layout is done already, so the major part is done. All I need to do is copy and paste the story in. I can promise you guys already that you'll love it. Hahaha, but this is all I'm saying. :)

...with a Photoshop feature I've been neglecting or merely ... avoiding, but finally tried my hand on. It's the so-called Photoshop actions. I don't know why I didn't try them sooner, they're so easy and so much fun to play with, LOL. Very much like scripts in Paintshop Pro.

I haven't put it on my website yet. I think I'll play around some more. But for a first attempt this isn't too bad. ;)

Update on the Fan Gallery

Hi everyone,

well..... I made a new wallpaper and I also moved the entire fan gallery to another host that gives me a lot more webspace for free than ALL of my others together. There might (or will) pop up a quite big ad on the first page you open, but they promise to leave you alone for an hour after closing this one. It's the price I have to pay for it being a free server. And since I can't afford to pay for ad-free, it's a price I can gladly and easily accept. ;)

The fan gallery includes my wallpapers pages, the puzzles, the fanfiction and everything that might come along. :)

As for the forum. Well, it's still waiting to be opened, please don't be too mad at me. :)

Correction: For the time being, the video pages have not been moved. Maybe some time later. ;)

Don't trust Babelfish

Alright, I knew that before. And my English is pretty good so I should te able to translate some text on my own and my good old dictionary.

But I was lazy and wanted to give that service another chance, hoping it may have inmproved over the years.

But trust me: it sucks bigtime. So, anyone who needs a translator because you don't know any other language beside your mother tongue, don't cound on Babelfish if you intend to translate whole sentences or larger text blocks. It's okay for single words, but when it comes to create intelligent sentences it's a no-no.

Ergo: I'll have to do it on my own and therefore please be patient with me, folks. ;)
